SBQ – Uh oh!

Today’s SBQ was suggested by Vash and is:

What is the biggest mishap you have had with your stitching material (i.e. spillages)?

Fortunately, I haven’t really had any spills or anything like that. I did have the colored pencil that I was using to mark a chart fall onto the project and mark the fabric, but I think the stitching covered it. I also left a needle to rust in a UFO (Fairy Moon) which I have since restarted since I didn’t care for my original choice of fabric. I also managed to get some discoloration on the weaving in a piece of hardanger that I spot bleached using a Q-tip. Lessons learned.

Jenna – my biggest mistake is always with the linen. I don’t seem to get the linen big enough — or it is big enough when I start & I add or change stuff around.

Once I had a darker linen that the colors blended in so you couldn’t see the design — I frogged out everything and chose LIGHT shades to get the design to show up.
