I Have a Touch of Start-itis

What do you do when you sit down for a brief stitching session and want something easy and quick to stitch up, but don’t seem to have anything at hand? Why, kit up a new project, of course! I just couldn’t help myself, so I started another project from Peripheria Designs called Echoes of a Squared Lotus.

You have to understand, I have had cuts of fabrics and coordinating flosses sitting around with all of her first round releases since I went to Utah and took a ton of possible projects to stitch. So, I grabbed a fabric/floss combination that was soothing to the eyes and a design that was appealing to stitch and had some fun. As a result, I am now 1/3 of the way through Echoes of a Squared Lotus.

I am also closing in on a finish of Kokopelli from Periphaeria Designs, which has been my travel project for a week or so. So close, in fact, that if I don’t finish it on the ride home tonight, I will bring it inside and finish it. I should have a picture to share tomorrow!

I will try to pick and kit up an ornament for my next travel project. My main problem right now is that I do not feel like going upstairs and pulling multiple DMCs. This is what is stalling me on Barnabee’s Quest, the Summer Dragon for the RR and numerous other things that I could be working on. I think I am going to force myself to do it tonight. Which means I have to clean up the floss laying in a pile from various other finishes, as well. Put everything away and then pull what I need. Ugh. 🙁 Hopefully, I will have the self-restraint to not just start another of Outi’s designs instead. I have 3 of them kitted up and ready to go. 😆

Are you sure you don’t suffer from Periphaeriaitis? 😆

No fear, I do too! 😉

I feel just like you when it comes to putting up threads and getting out the new ones!
I also have startitis! Can’t wait to see a picture of Squared Lotus! Take care and be happy!

    Periphaeriaitis… I love it!!!!

I think I’m going to start Kokopelli tonight. I need to stitch but the brain just ain’t firin right today. And I’ve gotten all sorts of compliments on Ring of Roses #1, which is sitting at my desk at work.

I think the kitting up is the worst part of the stitching … I’m the same – once the fabric and threads are sitting there waiting to go, there’s no stopping me, but otherwise it can sit for days before I kit a new one up … talking of which, I’d better stop sitting here putting off my own kitting up 😉
