PIF Gifts – Wave 1

I had the best of intentions going into the Pay-It-Forward project to be able to send out gifts quickly and to all 6 of the recipients at the same time. Hmmm… where did that go? Oh yeah, out the window! In fact, I’ve been so remiss in getting these out that most of the recipients probably forgot that I owed them something! So, instead, since I’ve been sitting on two packages that have been done since the beginning of the year, I waited to finish my third package and then send out the first wave. So, half of my PIF gifts have made it to their recipients.

Oh, you wanted to see what they were? 😉

First, there was some jewelry:

This bracelet went to live with Angela. I designed it myself using an idea I saw on the cover of a book at ACMoore and I specifically incorporated some of her favorite colors in the Swarovski crystals. Even the toggles have little Swarovski crystal chips in them. I can’t tell you how many times I had to string this crazy thing.

This bracelet and matching pair of earrings came from a kit and caught a ride home to Angi. Although it was from a kit, I did customize it a bit and added some extra beads. I chose Angi’s favorite color (purple, of course) and she’s a huge Swarovski fan, so of course there is a lot of sparkle.

And finally, to round out wave 1:

A biscornu and scissors fob for Cindy. The design is one of the Teeny Tweenies by The Sweetheart Tree, named Renaissance Romance. Stitched in and on Cindy’s favorite color, purple, with her initials on the bottom of the biscornu. Special thanks to Cindy for taking such nice photos and then letting me snag them. 😉

As you all know, working with so much purple had to have been terrible torture for me, but I survived. 😆 And now to continue work on gifts for Wave 2!

You are so good, Jenna! I have such hopes for my remaining PIFs but I swear someone or something is stealing chunks of time from me. ;P Your jewelry-making is really lovely. You’ve been hiding your talents!

YAY I CAN GET IN TO SEE YOU!!!!!!!!!!! 😀 After an entire week or so of not being able to read your blog, I can finally access it again woohoo!! 😀 Now I’m off to read everything from 26 April onwards to see what I’ve been missing out on 😉

Your PIF gifts are all stunning! I especially adore the biscornu, though – those colours as just awesome. I was actually thinking how dreadful it must have been for you to stitch/bead all that purple … I bet the hardest thing was actually letting them go! 😀

  5. Angi says:

AWESOME purple stuff! I adored my jewelry, thank you so much!

  6. Dawn says:

Wow!! They all are gorgeous! I had the same ambitions with my PIF’s and I still have 2 waiting to mail;)

  7. Angela says:

*beaming grin*, I put the bracelet on right away (Did I mention the perfect fit?) and admired it before I realized I had a stack of household ick to tend to and should take it off.
My precious back into the box?????/!!!!!! Eeek!
Thank you so much Jenna! I promise I will post a complete pic and description of the goodies on my blog, as soon as I have a little spare time.
(My daughter was miffed when I told her I would not let her wear it. Some things are just for mom!)

  8. Cathy says:

Jenna, like you I thought I would long be finished with my PIF gifts; so far, I’ve only sent out two of them. My third one has been started and hopefully will make its way to the lucky recipient in May.

Hope you are well – I have seen Cindy Valentine’s latest finishes. Have too many things in the works right now to start something new. i noticed that she is going to be teaching at Rockome in June. If I could figure out a way to swing it, I’d love to take a class with her…hmmmmmm……

  9. Melanie says:

Love-erly! Great job on all your PIF gifties (‘pifties’?!?) so far Jenna 🙂

How on earth did I miss that entry?? Ah, yes, that was the time when I wasn’t very much online… 🙁
Your jewelry and stitching are gorgeous, Jenna. Ever considered selling your jewelry on Etsy? I’d be your first customer for sure!
