Picture-less Stitching

I stitched a good portion of the weekend, in between endless loads of laundry, but I have no pictures to show for it. Partially because some of the stitching was for PIF gifts and partially because I was too lazy to go get the camera.

I finished Part I of Barnabee’s Quest, rolled it up into the scroll frame and started the border on Part II. If I’m feeling motivated when I get home tonight, I might unroll Part I and snap a photo. It depends on how late we get home, as Terry needs new clothes and the impending trip to Utah pretty much necessitates that he stop procrastinating and go shopping.

I was ready to put together one PIF gift when I realized that I had stitched the two parts on two different counts of fabric. ARGH! That was mildly off-putting. I haven’t really touched it too much since pulling a new piece of fabric with the correct count and making a small start. It was looking really nice, right up until I figured out that I had blown it. 😆

I have to make some decisions on what projects to take with me next week. I don’t like to travel with projects on frames or even QSnaps, so that rules out quite a number of projects, though I might take the 6″ QSnaps with me. I’m worried about lack of space in my suitcase, as well, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. I think the reuse of some clothing will be in order.

Okay, I’m just rambling now. I’ll try to get at least one picture to post this week, to liven things up a little. 🙂

How about some of those lovely biscornu designs you purchased…? 😉

Congratulations on finishing Part 1of Barnabee! I look forward to a photo 🙂

We had a ‘laundry weekend’ too. There’s still a lot, but we made a serious dent in it. LOL

Hey, that’s frustrating about your PIF gift on different counts of fabric – it sounds so much like something I’d do!

And I received my order today from your shop! I’m thrilled! It made my day!!

Oh Jenna — Sorry about your PIF project. I’m sure that was very frustrating. Thanks for your comments on my blog. About the needleminders. I made them! I’ve gotten such a good response, I’m contemplating making them and selling them.

Ack! That PIF snafu is a pain. Well, now you have two PIFs in progress, right? One in a smaller count, one in a larger count. 😉

Good luck on packing for Utah. I’m sure you’ll find the right project. Hope you have a lovely week, my friend! 🙂

Congrats on finishing up Part 1. I am not too far behind you, and should be able to finish Part 1 up this week. Sorry to hear about your PIF problem. What a pain!

Well, all of us make mistakes like that PIF goof of yours. I’d have been discouraged for awhile too. Nice thing about biscornus is that they’re small and quick, so you should have the new one ready to go in no time – probably already done. 😀

I hope the weather is good for you in Utah. Any chance you might be able to get out to the Shepherd’s Bush shop?

I’ve traveled with projects on frames, in hoops… But it’s much easier to travel with knitting. Start a sock! It’s the perfect size for travel knitting. 😉

Congrats on finishing Part 1 of Barnabee’s Quest! I look forward to seeing a picture. How frustrating to have stitched on 2 different counts of fabric. Hopefully it won’t take too long to stitch it up again on the right fabric.

What a bummer about your PIF. I hate when that sort of thing happens. I just thought it only happened to ME! :o) Congrats on finishing Part 1 of Barnabee. Woot! I enjoy hearing news about your shop. I hope you are doing well!
