The Stitching Bug Continues

Last night, we left work late, went and bought groceries and then ate a quick dinner, after which I promptly sat in my stitching corner and flew through 2 more blackwork squares. I even started the last one, but it’s not designed as well as the previous ones, so it’s taking a bit longer.

Now I just have to go back and pick a metallic or contrasting color to fill in the centers of each square and then I’ll be ready to start a mass of biscornu finishing! I’ll be making up a set of instructions, with photos at each step of the way, to add to my finishing instructions. I have to admit that I’m not necessarily looking forward to the finishing because it takes me several hours to do a single biscornu. I have days and days of finishing ahead of me…

Without further ado, here are the next two blackwork squares:

Very nice! I can’t wait to see your tutorial for biscornu making. So far, the only one I’ve found that wasn’t completely muddled is this one, but for some reason it seems unfinished ot me. Maybe because I haven’t made one yet 😛

  2. So pretty!

I’ve never heard of biscornu before reading your blog. It sounds like a cousin to biscotti. LOL! :o)
