Today’s question is:

Have you had a happy dance yet this year? If so, tell us about it! (Or just point to the entry that talks about it.) If not, when do you predict it will be?

Yes, I’ve already had 2 happy dances this year, but only 1 of them I’ve been able to share (the other was a model). The first one I was able to share was my made-up Hearts and Flowers Hardanger bookmark. And now that one exchange gift has been received, I can share that, as well, but since I finished stitching it last year, it’s not a current HD. I’ll share it anyway. 😉

I stitched Just Nan’s Tall Flowers design for Katrina in New Zealand. I had the design in mind when I first signed up for the exchange, but when I was given Katrina’s name, using a Just Nan design became that much more appropriate. I also had the needleroll finish in mind when I picked the design, but that turned out to be just right, too! I must have known ahead of time what would be just right for my partner. I feel like I didn’t include nearly enough goodies after receiving my package from Tammy, though. I’m always at a loss for what to include. 🙁 What I decided to do for Katrina was to make a bar of soap for her (it wasn’t complex, Katrina; just melt and pour – sorry!) and then I included a skein of GAST and the chart for Tall Flowers, as I know Katrina likes Just Nan and I thought she might want to stitch it herself sometime. Now, if only more people would fill out their wishlists (*hint-hint*) and maybe I could do better with the extras! 😉

Congratulations on your finishes Jenna! I believe you’ve already seen my one and only finish for 2006 – the hardanger doily. I’ll keep plugging along and sooner or later I’ll be dancing again! I’m certain you will soon be dancing again too!

Oh, the needleroll is so pretty and those charms are just too cute. And I do think that the goodies you included were great and personal. I would have been over the moon to receive such thoughtful gifts! 🙂

I just wanted to be sure you saw this: http://stitchbitch.blogspot.com/2006/01/invitation.html

I know you probably live in the other direction from our LNS, but it would be great if you could come!

That needleroll looks so good! 🙂

Is there still people who don’t have wishlists?! OMG! 😮
Ok, to be serious I’ve to agree that wish lists make it hundred times easier to send little extras for person. (Maybe that’s why I have two wish lists… 😛 ) But on the other hand it’s always exciting to try to figure out what person X might like. 😉
