Weekend Stitching

I spent some nice time yesterday stitching on Chatelaine’s freebie, Tiny Rose Mandala Garden, yesterday. I’m hoping to get it done by the end of this week so that I can go back to focusing on the bellpull for my intern and hopefully get it finished before her last day. The mandala garden needs to be done before we go to Mystic, CT in two weeks for the first weekend of the Sudberry House garage sale. Okay, I’ll admit, it doesn’t NEED to be done, but I would REALLY like to have it done so that I can pick a nice box in which to mount it. 😀

I had trouble getting to sleep overnight, so ended up staying up until after 3 AM playing with my stash and planning another small , portable project to work on. In the process, I discovered that I’m missing my skein of DMC 778. I can’t seem to find it anywhere! I don’t have that many projects kitted up right now with materials from my stash; most of what I’m doing right now has come from prepackaged kits. I’m quite irritated that I can’t manage to find this random bobbin of floss, but fortunately we need to take a trip to WalMart tomorrow anyway, so hopefully they’ll have it in stock.

While I haven’t managed to get motivated to do any stitching yet today, I’ll try to fit in more work on the mandala garden. Maybe I’ll take a photo or scan it sometime so I can post it to my WIPs gallery.
